Draft A Sheriff Pic.jpg

I am proud and deeply humbled by the support of the citizens of Orange County. Thank you for re-electing me to the job I love. Over the past twelve years the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has made remarkable progress as an agency. We have worked very hard. We have reduced crime and have taken a leading role in our nation's need to address homeland security issues. The residents of Orange County have enjoyed a prosperous and safe community due to the dedicated efforts of the men and the women of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Our journey is not yet done. There are many challenges ahead that will require us to work harder. I look forward to meeting those challenges and continuing to serve our community.

As we enter a new term of office, I would like to share with you, the citizens of Orange County, my goals for our Agency.

  • Our focus will continue to be on violent and economic crimes. As Sheriff I am responsible for the safety of 960,000 residents and the forty million tourists who visit Orange County annually. My goal is to keep the criminals off our streets.

  • We will continue to be vigilant concerning homeland security. We will protect our county from domestic and international threats by working closely with Region V of the Domestic Security Task Force. Together we will make sure that Orange County is safer and stronger than ever. I will make it a priority to find funding for necessary training equipment related to homeland security.

  • We will continue to stress Crime Prevention in our homes, businesses and our schools. We are dedicated in making Orange County a safe place to live, work and raise a family. We will continue to provide prevention programs for all of our citizens including our seniors and our children. We are committed to reducing the fear of crime in our community.

  • I will work towards achieving pay equity with the other law enforcement agencies of our area. The hard work and dedication of our employees was never as evident as it was during the past three hurricanes. We have a solid emergency management plan and dedicated employees. The events of the summer showed that it works. I am committed to working with the Board of County Commissioners to make certain that they are compensated in line with other local agencies.

  • I will work with the Board of County Commissioners to get more deputies on the road and for the funding for more technology that will help us to work more efficiently. We will meet the challenge of growth in our community by having the right number of people to get the job done with the right equipment. We will continue to make sure that we hire only the best.

    Thank you Orange County!!
