Sector IV traditionally has been, and remains, the busiest area in terms of calls for service.  It is the county's most urban sector and is home to a culturally diverse community.  The heart of Sector IV is the location of most of the county's adult entertainment establishments.  Unfortunately the sector experiences the effects of prostitution, drug abuse,  and the criminal activity associated with those crimes.

The Sheriff's Office has secured a Federal grant that provides special funding to address drug related problems.  The program, known as Weed and Seed, covers the sectors hot spots with additional personnel and operations.  This designation enabled Sector IV personnel to use Federal resources to augment existing crime control efforts with proactive enforcement efforts throughout the Sector.
