Summer Safety Programs begin with a SPLASH....... Minimize

Summertime! School's out...Long, relaxing days, kicking back with a tall, cool glass of lemonade...Not at the Children's Safety Village!

Summer is an exciting time at the Village--a "miniature city" currently teaching the Risk Watch curriculum to prevent childhood accidents and injuries. This unique concept provides children with a realistic approach in recognizing safety hazards similar to those found in everyday life. The city includes miniature buildings with paved streets, sidewalks, crosswalks, a functioning traffic light, a railroad crossing, a Fire Safety House, and a Water Safety Complex.

Professional safety experts teach children how to practice safety through hands-on exercises, role-playing activities, and other participatory techniques.

The Children's Safety Village is open to Day Care centers, public and private schools, Head Start programs, boy/girl scout groups and any group interested in learning safety.

Classes in the summer program include Bicycle Safety, Pedestrian Safety, Fire Prevention, Dangerous Person Awareness, Firearms Injury Prevention, and Water Safety.

To schedule a day to come out to the Children's Safety Village or to receive more information about the Safety Village contact  Brook Peck at brandi.peck@ocfl.net  or call 407-521-4673 ext 108
