The Pipes and Drums of the Orange County Sheriff's Office is an all volunteer unit comprised of Deputy Sheriff's, civilian employees, and citizens who proudly represent the Sheriff's Office.  The unit is available for parades, law enforcement memorials, and funerals.  Pipes and Drums also participates in the Central Florida Scottish Games and special Sheriff's Office events.   Members of the band play Highland Bagpipes, and snare, tenor, and bass drums.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals/practices are held on Thursday nights from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sheriff's Office Central Complex, 2500 West Colonial Drive. 

Requirements

No prior experience is necessary to join!  The band has many experienced players who are willing to teach newcomers  how to play. 

 

Expenses

There are no fees required to be come a member of this elite organization.  Uniform shirts, kilts,and drums are provided by the Sheriff's Office.  Members are required to purchase minor uniform parts and practice equipment.  Pipers are required to provide and maintain their own set of bagpipes.
