SUMMARY:Teen Driver Challenge: January
DESCRIPTION:Students will participate in a driving class that covers the following driving skills: \n\nFigure 8\nThreshold/Emergency braking\nBacking\nCornering\nForward serpentine\nReverse serpentine\nOff-road recovery\nEvasive maneuvers\nSkid recovery\n\nSubmissions of interest for Teen Driver classes opens 45 days prior to the first listed class date and each session closes 25 days prior to the start of the session. Each class can accept a total of 12 students. A submission of interest does not automatically register the candidate. \nUpon submission of interest online\, OCSO staff will review your submission and accepted candidates will be e-mailed a registration packet. No seat will be reserved without a completed registration packet (includes a copy of the vehicle registration\, insurance\, and driver’s license and signed and notarized waiver and liability forms). Due to the demand of this course we do require a $50 refundable deposit to hold a seat for the class. The participant will then return the completed forms along with a $50 deposit. Only those with completed packets will be placed on the list. Please note that your seat in the class will not be confirmed until the forms are returned to OCSO. Deposit checks are returned during the classroom portion of the course.  If your student does not attend\, the check will become a donation to provide materials for future classes. \n  \nIf you have further questions about registration or the Teen Driver program\, please contact the OCSO LEVO Unit at LEVO-OCSO@ocsofl.com.
