The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the safety and fair and respectful treatment of all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ+) residents and visitors. OCSO currently has several LGBTQ+ Liaison deputies who are available to work with community members, visitors and business owners in the following areas:
- Work with all sectors and units of the Sheriff’s Office to identify with LGBTQ+ citizens and address their concerns
- Assist in productive dialogue with investigative units concerning LGBTQ+-related crimes
- Work with other law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations to become educated and involved in LGBTQ+-related issues
For further information regarding the LGBTQ+ Liaison program, or to reach a liaison, please email [email protected] or call 407-254-7347.
All of our liaisons are active in the Gay Officers Action League (GOAL) of Central Florida www.goalcfl.com whose mission is to support, educate, and promote a positive relationship between LGBTQ+ law enforcement professionals and the communities in which they work, live and serve.
