Rey Rivero - Undersheriff

Undersheriff Rey Rivero is second in command of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.  Undersheriff Rivero served 30 years with the Orlando Police Department until his retirement on September 1, 2003.  He continued to serve the citizens of Orlando by remaining with the force for an additional five years as a volunteer reserve officer.  During his career he served in nearly every position within the department to include Uniform Patrol, Recruiting, and Co-Chair of the World Cup Committee.  He has worked closely with Sheriff Demings during his tenure with OPD as he rose through the ranks as an officer, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, deputy chief, and assistant chief (for then Chief Jerry L. Demings).   Undersheriff Rivero answers directly to Sheriff Demings and provides direct administrative oversight over all key agency functions.
