The Wellness and Benefits Unit is responsible for group insurance administration (health, vision, dental, life and LTD – Long Term Disability), retirement processing, and Lawson benefits administration including benefits enrollment and the maintenance of benefits eligibility and payroll deductions. Biometric screenings continue this year and were conducted to increase awareness of overall health and identify potential health concerns.
The wellness program works with employees in many areas of wellness (fitness, nutrition, stress management, weight management, work/life balance, finances) and offers a variety of classes, programs and events to support those wellness concepts. Wellness education was included in the mandatory block training for both sworn and civilian employees. Other successful programs have included financial courses, an agency wide step challenge and a variety of competitive sporting events. The wellness staff is also responsible for the oversight of all fitness equipment in our multiple gym locations.
This link leads to the machine readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed- amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
