African American Heritage Celebration
On February 12, 2010 the Sheriff's Office gathered for its first African American Heritage Celebration. Another typical lunch break came alive with music, dancing, and some of the finest African American, Caribbean, Cajun, and soul food anyone could want from a number of local businesses and agency employees who chipped in to make this an event to remember.
Our official agency DJ, D/S Cliff Flowers, kept the music coming while dancers and musicians insured those who attended were entertained during the event. To experience some of the sights and sounds of the Orange County Sheriff's Office African American Celebration we invite you to take a few minutes and enjoy the video below.
Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Members of the Sheriff's Office found a lunch break on
October 15, 2009 to far more than a quick trip through a fast food eatery's drive-through window when their agency joined the nation to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
The festive celebration featured live music, dancing, and some outstanding Latin cuisine. We invite you to enjoy the sights and sounds of our celebration of Florida's rich Hispanic heritage and its diverse Hispanic culture on the video below.
